 WHAT CAN WE DO TO REDUCE WASTES? My student,Meryem created a poster with the help of collaborative works in her mixed team.These are her suggestions about 'What can we do to reduce wastes?'

February 16  was Mardi Gras, Carnevale. It is the last celebration before Lent begins (forty days before Easter). Celebrations are usually held all over Italy with parades, allegoric floats, parties, masks, .... Unfortunately this year celebrations have been cancelled, postponed, or moved online. The only thing we can enjoy are the delicious pastries and videos shot last year. We hope that next year we'll celebrate Carnevale again. Enjoy the tales of how we celebrate Carnivale. On the occasion of Safer Internet Day (9 February 2021), our Institute dedicated a week (8-14 February) to discuss issues relating to the safe and conscious use of the Internet. The students, encouraged by educational videos, brainstorming and debate activities, have created works that summarize ideas, advice, good practices, using their creativity, critical spirit, sense of responsibility, awareness and skills.   BEŞİKDÜZÜ IMKB FEN LISESI-SAFER INTERNET DAY Safer Internet Day is an international event taking place in February every year.It promotes a safer and a more responsible use of online technology by children and young people across the world.And eSafety is indispensible for eTwinning projects.We have done lots of works on eSafety in our school and these are some for Safer Internet Day-Feb 9, 2021.

  Safe Internet Day events, which have been organized in our country since 2010 under the coordination of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority, were celebrated with the whole world on February 11, 2020 this year.

The most important and most fun thing in etwinning projects is the communication among the partners.  Our students have met and have communicated with each other through the chatroom of the Twinspace. Three meetings have been arranged till now on January 18, 22 and 30. Through these meetings partners met each other online, chated and talked about their interests, about their lives, their school, their habits, their favourites and they discussed about the situation of the pandemic. All students had real fun and got very excited with the online meetings and are looking forward to joining again.

  A LOCAL TURKISH TRADITION: KALANDAR In our project,different traditions, customs and legends are introduced to the project members.'Kalandar' is an old local traditional New Year entertainment.(Today it is celebrated on 13 January.)  The visitor who wears funny costumes or cover his/her face knocks on the door and reach out his/her bag for fruit, cakes, nuts, candies etc.The host wonders who s/he is.Everything is for fun!My student, Cennet shot a short Kalandar video for our project.

  PASTRY WITH FETA CHEESE FILLING (SU BÖREĞİ) Pastry with feta cheese filling is one of the indispensible flavors of Turkish cuisine.Hand rolled dough and special cheese are the main ingredients. This flavor which requires a masterful preparation( generally prepared by our mums or grandmums) is one of the leading foods of invitations.festivities, weddings, celebrations and birthdays.My student, Mehtap prepared this recipe with the help of her mum.
