  A LOCAL TURKISH TRADITION: KALANDAR

In our project,different traditions, customs and legends are introduced to the project members.'Kalandar' is an old local traditional New Year entertainment.(Today it is celebrated on 13 January.)

 The visitor who wears funny costumes or cover his/her face knocks on the door and reach out his/her bag for fruit, cakes, nuts, candies etc.The host wonders who s/he is.Everything is for fun!My student, Cennet shot a short Kalandar video for our project.
